Peoples Trust is a leading financial institution with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance. We are seeking a seasoned regulatory compliance professional to join our team as a Compliance Manager.

About the Role

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing and developing our compliance program, ensuring that our business practices align with regulatory requirements. This includes advising and educating internal business partners on compliance requirements, managing testing activities, and responding to regulatory inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop our compliance program to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Advise and educate internal business partners on compliance requirements
  • Manage testing activities to ensure compliance of regulatory and operational processes
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and manage investigation incidents
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in advisory compliance in financial services
  • At least 2 years of experience working with and partnering with Canadian regulators
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Business)
  • Extensive policy writing experience particularly for new product and services
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks
  • Strong quantitative skills and analytic ability
  • Proficient using technology and productivity tools to navigate data and conduct analyses

What We Offer

Peoples Trust offers a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $100,000 and $130,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
