Job Title: Family Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Physician to join our team at Red Lake Medical Associates.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat various health conditions.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations to identify diseases and injuries, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most effective medical treatment.
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and provide comprehensive care.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, and participate in health care policy and planning.
  • Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care, and advise patients on health and wellness.
  • Supervise staff, report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to government authorities, and act as a patient advocate.
  • Coordinate and manage primary patient care, and provide counseling and support on various health and lifestyle issues.
Requirements
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) or equivalent.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II).
  • Specialization in family practice, with experience in emergency medicine.
