At Red Lake Medical Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, from routine check-ups to managing chronic conditions. Your expertise in General Practice will enable you to diagnose and treat a wide range of health issues, from minor illnesses to complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze medical information from patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations to identify diseases and injuries
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to promote healthy habits and wellness
  • Order diagnostic tests and procedures to determine the most effective medical treatment
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Participate in healthcare policy and planning to improve patient outcomes
  • Deliver babies and provide prenatal and postnatal care
  • Advise patients on healthcare options and provide education on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Supervise staff and ensure high-quality patient care
  • Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to government authorities
  • Act as a patient advocate to ensure their rights and needs are respected
  • Coordinate and manage primary patient care to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care
  • Provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
Requirements:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
  • Specialization in family practice, with experience in emergency medicine
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
