We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Supply and empty bed pans, take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, make beds and maintain patients' rooms
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines, maintain inventory of supplies, and transport patients between care facilities
  • Collect specimens, administer first aid in emergency situations, and perform other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Acute care nursing Certificate
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • Geriatric Certificate
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks. The successful candidate will be physically demanding and require manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
