Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

As a key member of our leadership team, the Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Design, implement, and optimize financial systems and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Financial Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial results.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with external advisors, including auditors, financial institutions, and tax advisors, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: University degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional Designation: Professional accounting designation, preferably a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressively senior financial experience within mid-sized organizations, preferably in the retail or soft goods industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial and ERP systems, including Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Power BI, Sage 300, and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized and timely fashion, with a proven track record of delivering on financial and technology projects.
