Occupational Therapist II - Primary Care

Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist seeking a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team? If so, we encourage you to apply for this exciting position within our Primary Care department.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Occupational Therapy, the Occupational Therapist II will work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to deliver person-centered care. You will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions that promote independence and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
  • Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a primary care setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
