As a Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our treatment facilities. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling various processes, conducting routine maintenance tasks, and adhering to strict regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Perform daily operational tasks, including monitoring water quality parameters, adjusting chemical dosages, and maintaining equipment.
- Collect and analyze water samples, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on treatment plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Possess a valid Level II Water Treatment Operator certification and a Level I Certificate for Wastewater Treatment, Collection, and Distribution Supply.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license.
