Aquatech Canadian Water Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Operator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our water and wastewater facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment plants, including monitoring and reporting processes, chemical transferring, and maintenance tasks.
  • Compile and analyze data from daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling activities.
  • Report operational problems to the supervisor and perform maintenance tasks as requested.
  • Participate in laboratory analysis and reporting, and assist with the preparation of monthly and annual reports.
  • Perform on-call duties as scheduled by the supervisor and participate in the company's health and safety program.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Level 2 certification in Water Treatment and Level 1-2 certification in Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, and Water Distribution Supply.
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license and a driver's abstract.
  • Ability to lift 25 kg (55lb) and excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge and hand and power tool knowledge.
