About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at DIGIPRO IT SOLUTIONS LTD. as a User Support Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Problem-Solving: Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions to technical issues.
  • User Training: Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties, ensuring they have the necessary skills to use computer systems effectively.
  • Log Maintenance: Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • Software Development: Participate in the redesign of applications and other software to improve user experience and efficiency.
  • Network Support: Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
Computer and Technology Knowledge
  • Device Drivers: Knowledge of device drivers and their installation.
  • Networking Security: Understanding of networking security principles and practices.
  • Desktop Applications: Proficiency in desktop applications and their troubleshooting.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Accessibility Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Veteran Support: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Indigenous Support: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Worker Support: Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
