About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Canadian Banking Engineering Systems Reliability team. As a key member of our Canadian Banking Engineering organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of our Canadian Banking ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with Software Development, Quality, Product, and Data Engineering teams to champion SRE/DevOps culture and practices.
  2. Lead strategic initiatives to address reliability risks and improve system performance.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and lead blameless post-mortem activities to identify and address reliability issues.
  4. Develop and implement effective tooling, alerts, and automated responses to identify and address reliability risks.
  5. Work closely with architecture boards to define and implement resilience policies for new and existing solutions.
  6. Lead initiatives to refine our build, plan, and deploy practices for improved stability, reliability, efficiency, repeatability, and security.
Requirements
  1. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  2. 10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong understanding of SRE, service management principles, Service Level Objectives, and measuring resiliency.
  3. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and clearly on conference calls, in meetings, via email, etc.
