About the Role

Sunset Country Ford Ltd. is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Adjust and Repair Automotive Systems: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and provide accurate estimates to customers.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform scheduled maintenance service on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Complete Reports and Records: Complete reports and records to document problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive service industry.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
