About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Sunset Country Ford Ltd. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Adjust and Repair Automotive Systems: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, and provide accurate quotes to customers.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform scheduled maintenance service on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Complete Reports and Records: Complete reports and records to document problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification: Possess a valid Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Red Seal Certificate: Possess a valid Red Seal Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
