About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Sunset Country Ford Ltd. as a key member of our service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Estimate and Provide Quotes: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, providing quotes to customers as needed.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance services on vehicles to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Test and Adjust Units: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Record and Report Work: Complete detailed reports to record problems and work performed, providing accurate documentation for future reference.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Possess an Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and an Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Hold a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, withstanding standing for extended periods and meeting the physical demands of the role.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate accuracy, dependability, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
