Faculty Development Opportunity

The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to join our team as a Faculty Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our faculty members and enhance the quality of our residency program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement faculty development programs and resources to support the professional growth of our faculty members.
  • Collaborate with the Faculty Development Portfolio Director to provide program-wide workshops and training sessions for clinical faculty.
  • Act as a resource for local faculty members, providing guidance and support in areas such as resident teaching and education.
  • Participate in program-wide and departmental initiatives, including resident selection and recruitment activities.
  • Work closely with other site faculty to ensure that faculty development activities are structured to provide support for evaluation, curriculum, and research.
Requirements:
  • Membership and certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
  • Eligible for licensure in B.C.
  • Eligible for Clinical Faculty Appointment through UBC.
  • Experience in medical education leadership and administration.
  • Demonstrated ability in teaching and working with residents.
