In the role of SDN Controller Architect, you will play a pivotal role in architecting the Constellation Network Operating System, influencing the trajectory of telecommunications.Key Responsibilities
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the Lightspeed constellation and the Constellation Network Operating System.
- Design technical frameworks and ensure project success within defined parameters.
- Oversee the integration of network algorithms into reliable, real-time software solutions.
- Provide expert advice on intricate challenges, risk management, and industry best practices.
- Supervise the procurement and operational support of network infrastructures.
- Inform teams about innovative solutions and emerging industry trends.
Required Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in network or software engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience in network or software engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in an architectural role.
- Proficiency in Software Defined Networking applications and cloud-native architecture.
- Excellent communication abilities and a solid understanding of telecommunications technologies.
Decision-Making & Leadership
- Make significant recommendations for the Telesat Lightspeed network.
- Act as a technical leader within the team framework.
Work Environment
- Hybrid work model with occasional international travel.
- Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to obtain CGP clearance is required.
