Building Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at 9379-3925 QUEBEC INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Maintenance Activities
- Oversee the work of maintenance staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Estimate and Manage Costs
- Estimate costs and materials required for maintenance and repair projects.
- Manage budgets and ensure that costs are within approved limits.
- Ensure Health and Safety
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and healthy manner.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Train and Develop Staff
- Train and develop maintenance staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Provide feedback and coaching to staff to improve their performance.
- Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. building maintenance, construction management).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in building maintenance.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Work Environment
- Work is performed in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties.
- May be required to work at heights, in noisy environments, and in dusty conditions.
- Physical Demands
- May be required to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
- May be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
