About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at 9379-3925 QUEBEC INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our commercial and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Maintenance Activities
    • Oversee the work of maintenance staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure that properties are always in good working order.
  • Estimate and Manage Costs
    • Estimate costs and materials required for maintenance and repair projects.
    • Manage budgets and ensure that costs are kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Regulations are Followed
    • Ensure that all maintenance staff are aware of and comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Train and develop maintenance staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively.
    • Identify areas for improvement and develop training programs to address these areas.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate or diploma required.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance or supervisory role.
  • Work Site Environment
    • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
    • Work in noisy environments.
    • Work at heights.
    • Work in dusty environments.
  • Work Setting
    • Work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential properties.
    • Work on installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Reliable and able to work independently.
    • Team player with excellent communication skills.
    • Strong time management skills.
