Job Title: Stress Repair Engineer

Capgemini is seeking a skilled Stress Repair Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting aircraft programs in the capacity of static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, make recommendations, and provide final stress justification of reworks and repairs on defects produced on the airframe primary structure.
  • Work closely with Design Engineers by providing timely stress substantiations to various manufacturing and assembly issues.
  • Engage with Stress engineering team to resolve key technical issues.
  • Document analysis on stress work files.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering and at least seven (7) years of proven experience.
  • Material Review Board (MRB) or MAP experience in commercial / business aircraft and / or previous MRB delegation is an asset.
  • Experience in static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis and finite element analysis.
  • Experience in design office (design or stress) of aircraft structures (Airframe);
  • Knowledge of stress calculations / justifications.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical used materials.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a good standout colleague.
  • Good command of English language (written and spoken).
  • NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP
  • CATIA V5, SOLIDWORKS
  • NASGRO
  • MS Office (EXCEL and VBA programming)
