We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobilizing, according to their individual care plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans.
- Plan and implement resident leisure activities on a daily basis.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to your supervisor.
- Valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work at least six shifts per quarter.
- Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
- Alzheimer's and Dementia Care course considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments an asset.
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
