We are seeking a skilled Insurance Advisor to join our team at BrokerLink, a leading insurance brokerage in Canada. As an Insurance Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients, and delivering tailored insurance solutions to meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Service ongoing client needs, provide expert advice on insurance matters, and conduct needs assessments to recommend solutions.
- Sell new policies, write new business, and retain existing clients to grow our book of business.
- Quote new business through outbound calls, introductory letters, and walk-in clients, and collaborate with underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy.
- Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals.
- Stay up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes, and actively participate in training initiatives to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to community marketing initiatives and provide guidance and assistance as requested.
- High school and/or post-secondary education.
- Minimum of 3 years of personal insurance experience, preferably with a RIBO license.
- Exposure to Epic is an asset.
- Strong customer focus, demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check.
