Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Carfair Composites. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling high-quality products using hand tools and following standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare finished products for shipping, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Perform structural and cosmetic repairs on fiberglass components, utilizing your problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
  • Document non-conformities and issue NCP tags, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assemble fiberglass parts and install hardware according to blueprints, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Train other team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • Cut and sand fiberglass parts to required specifications, meeting quality standards.
  • Use jigs and fixtures to assemble parts, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Follow all Lean and 5S initiatives, contributing to a safe and organized work environment.
  • Check blueprints for required assembly and finish specifications, verifying accuracy.
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping rules, prioritizing a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in composites or a similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and reach and bend on a consistent basis.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment, making informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in harmony with others, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Evidence of a satisfactory work record, including performance, attendance, and teamwork.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within company guidelines.
