Position Overview

Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Manager of Operations, and upholding the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of Shared Health, the Diagnostic Imaging Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the department.

This position involves managing patient flow, scheduling diagnostic imaging examinations, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Experience
  • Previous PACS experience is highly advantageous.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12, or recognized equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Administrative Assistant Program at a recognized educational institution, a recognized medical secretary program, or the first year of a recognized diploma/degree in nursing.
  • -or-
  • Successful completion of a recognized medical terminology course, PLUS one-year experience in a Patient Registration department or one year related* experience.

*Experience as a ward clerk, Unit Assistant, Secretary or Receptionist in a clinical area is deemed to meet the definition of related.

Physical Requirements
  • Physically capable of assisting patients in wheelchairs.
