Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at Sunrise Freight Systems Inc.. This role involves the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment

The position is set in a noisy environment, typical of heavy machinery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and inspections to identify faults and malfunctions in equipment.
  • Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and other testing equipment to assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Manage parts ordering and maintain an organized inventory.
  • Make necessary adjustments and repair or replace defective components.
  • Document maintenance activities and keep accurate reports.
  • Perform welding tasks as required.
  • Test repaired machinery to verify performance meets manufacturer specifications.
  • Attach components and adjust new heavy equipment as needed.
  • Carry out cleaning, lubrication, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Execute repair work on heavy trucks.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
  • The role is physically demanding and requires attention to detail.
  • Tasks may involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is essential.
Tools and Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required for this position.
