Job Overview

CIMA+ is seeking a dedicated Technician in Civil Engineering to support the development of various structural projects. As a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your expertise in collaboration with CIMA+ engineers to fulfill drawing production requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with the design of drawings and specifications using CAD tools for structural projects including bridges, overpasses, and buildings.
  • Ensure compliance of drawings and specifications with relevant guidelines, codes, and regulations.
  • Prepare estimates and calculations for materials necessary for project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to perform surveys essential for drawing and specification production.
  • Engage in the design process for the rehabilitation of bridges, road structures, and buildings.
  • Support on-site construction supervision with technical assistance.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to facilitate project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of college studies (DCS) in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
  • Completion of ASP Construction training for health and safety on construction sites.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
  • Strong communication skills in French, both written and spoken.
  • Completion of MTQ training on structural construction and repair is an asset.
  • Familiarity with MTQ standards is beneficial.
  • Experience with Power Inroads and Micro-Station software is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in the consulting engineering sector is preferred.
