WSP, a prominent engineering and consulting firm on a global scale, is here to support clients across Canada with a comprehensive suite of services, including economic assessments, project oversight, detailed design, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and industrial programming. In this position within WSP's Industrial and Mining division, you will collaborate with a diverse team focused on the planning and execution of construction initiatives. We are currently in search of an Electrical and/or Instrumentation Technician to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with electrical and/or instrumentation engineers in the design and planning phases of industrial, mining, or institutional engineering projects.
  • Calculate material requirements, choose appropriate equipment, and contribute to tender documentation.
  • Conduct site visits for data gathering, assist project technicians as required, and offer technical support throughout project implementation.
  • Participate in construction design, attend coordination meetings, and undertake additional tasks to facilitate project completion.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electricity and/or Instrumentation.
  • Relevant experience in the design of electrical and/or instrumentation systems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, team-oriented individual with strong communication abilities.
  • Experience in engineering consulting, site supervision, and proficiency in AutoCad software is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
