Spiritual Care Chaplain

The Chaplain provides spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff within the Cape Breton Area - Eastern Zone. Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting patients to assess their emotional and spiritual care needs
- Prioritizing patient visits and making regular visits to those in need
- Providing spiritual and emotional support to patients and families during the dying process
- Administering sacraments and other religious ceremonies as requested
- Developing working relationships with local clergy and providing liaison services
- Attending multi-disciplinary rounds and case conferences
About You
We are seeking a qualified Chaplain with the following qualifications:
- Minimum of one Basic Unit in Clinical Pastoral Education
- Affiliation and endorsement by a recognized faith group
- Demonstrated leadership ability, organization, and communication skills
- Commitment to continuing education
- Competencies in other languages an asset
Hours
This is a permanent part-time position with 15 hours bi-weekly. Travel is required, and a reliable vehicle is necessary.
Compensation and Incentives
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate and may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, and life insurance coverage.
