We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at ExxonMobil Corporation. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving our environmental objectives and initiatives forward.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective environmental programs to meet regulatory requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive environmental sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide environmental stewardship to site management and participate in environmental risk assessments to support capital project development and site management of change activities.
- Actively participate in environmental and regulatory networks and industry committees to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory developments.
- Develop and manage programs to meet environmental and regulatory requirements and objectives, and support communication with provincial and federal regulators.
- Completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Science or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of previous environmental and regulatory support or advisory experience.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental regulations applicable to industry in Ontario.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team environment, fostering collaboration within the organization, and also engage as an individual contributor.
- Ability to critically evaluate situations and apply sound judgment to develop recommendations.
- Commitment to safety on and off the job.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are requirements for certain positions.
- Fluency in French is an asset for certain positions; please note in your cover letter if you are fluent in French.
