Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Advisor to join our team. As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a key role in driving site environmental objectives and initiatives forward, ensuring compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage cross-functional teams to drive site environmental objectives and initiatives forward.
  • Complete regulatory reporting activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide environmental stewardship to site management.
  • Participate in environmental risk assessments to support capital project development and site management of change activities.
  • Actively participate in environmental and regulatory networks and industry committees.
  • Develop and manage programs to meet environmental and regulatory requirements and objectives.
  • Support communication with provincial and federal regulators, as well as community engagement activities.
Requirements
  • Completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of previous environmental and regulatory support or advisory experience.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental regulations applicable to industry in Ontario.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team environment.
  • Ability to critically evaluate situations and apply sound judgment to develop recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to safety on and off the job.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are requirements for certain positions.
  • Fluency in French is an asset for certain positions.
