About the Role


As an Environmental Advisor at ExxonMobil Corporation, you will play a critical role in driving site environmental objectives and initiatives forward. You will be responsible for effectively engaging cross-functional teams to drive environmental objectives and initiatives forward, complete regulatory reporting activities within assigned areas of responsibility, provide environmental stewardship to site management, participate in environmental risk assessments to support capital project development and site management of change activities to ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory requirements, actively participate in environmental and regulatory networks and industry committees, develop and manage programs to meet environmental and regulatory requirements and objectives, and support communication with provincial and federal regulators, as well as community engagement activities.



Requirements

  • Completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of previous environmental and regulatory support or advisory experience
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental regulations applicable to industry in Ontario
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team environment, fostering collaboration within the organization and engaging as an individual contributor
  • Ability to critically evaluate situations and apply sound judgment to develop recommendations


Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are requirements for certain positions
  • Fluency in French is an asset for certain positions; please note in your cover letter if you are fluent in French
