We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with complex needs related to psychiatric disability, addiction, and trauma.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and care planning for clients with mental illness and addiction.
- Administer medications, provide crisis interventions, and facilitate group sessions as needed.
- Collaborate with the Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and maintain rapport with clients, observing and recognizing changes in their behavior and needs.
- Implement psychosocial rehabilitation principles, strength-based models, and trauma-informed care to promote client recovery and well-being.
- Graduation from a recognized LPN program and current licensure with the BCCNM.
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, First Aid Certificate, and Criminal Records Clearance.
- Ability to work with diverse client populations, including Aboriginal clients, and provide culturally sensitive care.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
