Position Overview:

The Directing Registered Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the remote evaluation and management of healthcare services for clients receiving care in their residences. This role includes providing clinical guidance and delegating responsibilities within the framework of unregulated care provider practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients.
  • Maintaining precise clinical documentation in a digital format to support client care.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary team members to address patient care requirements.
  • Engaging in clear communication during daily meetings and in response to inquiries via email and phone.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with local healthcare providers to enhance service delivery.
  • Participating in reflective practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care quality.
  • Exhibiting flexibility and adaptability in navigating changes within a dynamic virtual work environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Possession of a CNA Certificate in Palliative Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Significant hands-on experience in pediatric nursing.
  • Recent clinical experience with patients suffering from COPD and CHF.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital health platforms and related technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a virtual multidisciplinary team.
  • Access to high-speed internet and a suitable workspace.
  • Valid CPR C and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
  • Must have a personal vehicle along with a valid driver's license and insurance.

Work Environment:

This position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, sitting, and standing.
