Program for Active Living (PAL) Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kinesiologist to join our team as a Program for Active Living (PAL) Coordinator at the Village of Glendale Crossing in London, Ontario.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative cognitive and physical exercise programs for residents, both individuals and in groups. They will collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure resident goals are met and provide leadership and supervision of Kinesiology Co-Op placements, students, and volunteers who assist with the PAL program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cognitive and physical exercise programs for residents
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure resident goals are met
  • Provide leadership and supervision of Kinesiology Co-Op placements, students, and volunteers
  • Facilitate education sessions on lift and transfer, body mechanics, and active living
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members
Requirements
  • Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behavior and exercise rehabilitation
  • Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (asset)
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience working with seniors and/or persons with cognitive or physical impairments (asset)
