Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Superway Constructions Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
  • Survey building locations and levels to ensure accuracy and safety
  • Instruct and train apprentices in carpentry techniques and best practices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial buildings, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours of work per week
