Job Summary:
The School District #48 (Sea to Sky) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from schools and extra-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and safely transport students to and from schools and/or on extra-curricular bus runs as directed, while operating a school bus.
- Under the direction of the Transportation and Grounds Manager and with the general direction of the Director of Facilities and Services, oversee the daily operations of the transportation department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to student transportation.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff.
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 11 and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year's related driving experience.
- Valid Class 2 BC Driver's License with air endorsement.
- Current First Aid Certificate or equivalent.
- Propane Filling Ticket.
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials information Systems (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC (WSBC) safety procedures.
