We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at Shared Health. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide basic supportive care to patients and assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, Registered Psychiatric Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
- Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload.
- Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
This position involves extensive physical activity such as lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.
This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
