Pharmacy Career Opportunity
Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team.
About the Role
This is a Full-Time position that reports to the Pharmacy Manager. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications to patients
- Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and supplements
- Counsel patients on new and additional medications
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations
- Administer vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program
- Provide pharmaceutical professional services such as medication reviews
- Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests
- Review and control costs within the dispensary
- Provide ongoing training for pharmacy colleagues
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license
- 0-2 years of work experience
- Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills
- Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience formulating and executing action plans
- Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy Computer system
