Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Hourglass HR. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and knowledge throughout the project or product lifecycle to ensure success.
  • Act as a leader in agile meetings and ceremonies, demonstrating confidence and inspiring trust in team members as well as stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in strategic decision discussions and provide valuable insight to business partners.
  • Show quick reactiveness to issues and collaborate with the team to offer resolutions to both technical and functional issues.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product owners by actively working together to identify challenges.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Produce key documentation for the initiatives.
  • Develop and propose innovative IT solutions that address business challenges.
  • Work closely with architects and developers to ensure the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights and inform decision-making.
  • Develop data models to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business users, IT teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and are of high quality.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and facilitate resolution of identified issues.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the IT organization.
  • Help troubleshoot production issues and act as level 3 support for products when needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Retail experience/knowledge.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of Business Analysis experience on medium-large scale IT projects.
  • Initiative – ability to be a proactive self-starter who takes the initiative to identify problems, propose solutions, and implement actions without constant supervision.
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent activities autonomously and with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ownership – strong ability to assume responsibility, accountability, and proactive involvement in tasks or projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with key stakeholders to identify business process activities as well as business requirements.
  • Ability to question the status quo and seek innovative ways to optimize processes.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Technical skills: Comfortable working with Jira/Confluence; Knowledge of Business Process Modeling; Understanding of ERP systems and structure; Understanding of hardware, networks, and relational databases.
