Job Summary

The Canadian Bankers Association is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its anti-scam and fraud prevention efforts. As the Director, Fraud Prevention Awareness & Education, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to educate Canadians about how to prevent, respond, and report scams and fraud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the leadership team and key stakeholders to execute a comprehensive approach to increasing Canadians' awareness of scams and fraud.
  • Develop and implement education and awareness campaigns to help protect Canadians and the Canadian economy from scams and fraud.
  • Work with the CBA team and stakeholders to drive strategy and execution on anti-scam and fraud prevention efforts.
  • Bring a blend of marketing, communications, and education expertise to the role, with a focus on creating engaging and effective campaigns.
  • Galvanize the CBA's efforts to block bad actors and protect Canadians from scams and fraud.
  • Work with the Strategy, Marketing & Communications team to ensure the CBA's financial literacy efforts continue to evolve and amplify anti-scam and fraud prevention messages.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre to promote and increase reporting and enforcement of scams and fraud.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing education and awareness campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of the banking sector and the issues surrounding scams and fraud.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and teams.
  • Experience with data analytics and metrics-driven decision making.
  • Strong understanding of corporate branding and messaging.
  • Ability to provide sound communications advice to senior executives.
