The Government of Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst - GIS to lead the development and implementation of Global Information System initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects that involve multiple processes, services, and business units
  • Provide guidance and support to business consultants on projects with narrower scope and complexity
  • Use communications, marketing, and advocacy skills to anticipate and shape demand for GIS applications and systems
  • Balance business and ICT change impacts and channel demand into effective and efficient services
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Information Technology (IT)
  • Experience with business analysis, including analyzing and defining business problems and requirements
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other software, including Esri, ArcGIS Online for Organizations (AGOL), and Python
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience executing all facets of the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience organizing and coordinating user acceptance testing
