Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a loader to assist with snow removal and other winter maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate loader equipment safely and efficiently for snow removal and other winter maintenance tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
  • Clear snow and ice from roads, sidewalks, bus stops, and any drainage components in accordance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with team supervisor and other team members to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with de-icing and salting operations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report progress and any obstacles encountered to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance or landscaping (outdoor work).
  • Experience operating a loader in winter maintenance (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Valid Loader Operator certification (asset).
  • Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS and job-related aspects of Occupational Health.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
