Mining Operations Engineer
This role presents a remarkable opportunity to become part of a global organization with prospects for enduring advancement. Situated in a rural setting, this position is within a Safety-Oriented Company.
Key Responsibilities:
Project-Specific Duties: Transform long-term mining strategies into actionable medium and short-term plans. Create comprehensive mine layouts and scheduling (monthly, daily, and weekly mining operations). Assess optimal stockpile utilization and inventory management. Participate in daily production coordination meetings. Design and enhance drilling and blasting methodologies. Conduct monthly assessments of grade and tonnage. Generate monthly mining production reports and compare against budget forecasts. Assist in workforce and equipment allocation planning. Formulate waste management schedules and disposal strategies. General Responsibilities: Deliver mining engineering and design solutions for both underground and surface mining evaluations, including scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and technical reports. Draft specifications for mining equipment and support procurement processes. Develop technical specifications based on interdisciplinary input. Contribute to technical memoranda and reports within areas of expertise. Prepare capital and operational expenditure estimates for mining projects. Design mining infrastructure, ventilation systems, backfill systems, and related services. Exhibit self-sufficiency and adaptability to evolving conditions. Demonstrate creativity and innovation in problem-solving. Possess strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Make informed and effective decisions.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in open pit or similar mining operations. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in a professional and technical manner. Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Capability to oversee long-term mining strategies. Proficiency in optimizing operational practices.Compensation: $
