About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Engineer to join our team at IKO Industries Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement medium and short-range execution plans for quarry operations.
  • Design and schedule mining sequences, including daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
  • Optimize stockpile use and inventory management.
  • Attend daily coordination meetings with production teams.
  • Develop and optimize drill and blast designs.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of grade and tonnes.
  • Prepare monthly mine production reports and comparisons to budget.
  • Aid with manpower and equipment planning.
  • Develop waste dump schedules and dumping plans.

General Tasks

  • Provide mining engineering and design services for underground and open pit mine studies.
  • Prepare mining equipment specifications and assist with procurement.
  • Prepare technical specifications based on input from other disciplines.
  • Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports.
  • Prepare mining CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates.
  • Design mine infrastructures, ventilation systems, backfill systems, and mining services.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in open pit or other mining projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to oversee long-term mining plans and optimize operational practices.
