About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Engineer to join our team at IKO Industries Ltd.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement medium and short-range execution plans for quarry operations.
- Design and schedule mining sequences, including daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
- Optimize stockpile use and inventory management.
- Attend daily coordination meetings with production teams.
- Develop and optimize drill and blast designs.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of grade and tonnes.
- Prepare monthly mine production reports and comparisons to budget.
- Aid with manpower and equipment planning.
- Develop waste dump schedules and dumping plans.
General Tasks
- Provide mining engineering and design services for underground and open pit mine studies.
- Prepare mining equipment specifications and assist with procurement.
- Prepare technical specifications based on input from other disciplines.
- Prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports.
- Prepare mining CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates.
- Design mine infrastructures, ventilation systems, backfill systems, and mining services.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in open pit or other mining projects.
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to oversee long-term mining plans and optimize operational practices.
