Job Summary

GardaWorld is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a CBSA Tactical Security Guard in Etobicoke. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of individuals and assets within the Immigration Holding Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and protect people, assets, and property within the facility
  • Escort individuals within the facility, using restraints as necessary to ensure safety
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with individuals under stress
  • Observe, monitor, and report on behavior of detainees
  • Conduct regular foot patrols of indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Monitor and utilize security software and equipment effectively
  • Generate daily incident reports
  • Utilize tactical training to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario security guard license
  • Valid and current First Aid/CPR certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider
  • Canadian citizenship or 5-years permanent residence status
  • Minimum high school diploma from a recognized education provider
  • Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Available to work flexible hours, in a full-time or part-time capacity
  • 1 year experience working in a vulnerable sector
  • 1 year tactical security guard experience
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities
  • Experience working in a high-stress environment with quick responsiveness to emergency situations
  • Understanding of the importance of conciseness, security, and safety
