Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Intuit Inc. in Toronto, Canada.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of product compliance, innovation, and regulatory matters. As the primary product counsel for Intuit's Canada Consumer Group offerings, you will advise and counsel on a wide variety of matters, including AI/ML, consumer protection, data privacy and data protection, mobile, intellectual property, policy, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and counseling on AI/ML, data privacy, financial services, mobile and cloud computing, advertising and marketing, IP, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner closely with product management, business strategy, engineering, content design, marketing, security, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Communicate effectively and counsel business partners about regulatory obligations and risk management, especially cross-borders.
  • Produce clear and succinct legal analysis.
  • Interact with and lead change with senior executive leaders.
  • Effectively frame issues to drive strategic thinking and execution.
Requirements
  • Significant breadth of knowledge in consumer protection, AI/ML, advertising and marketing laws, financial services, data privacy and protection, IP, mobile and cloud computing, and competition law.
  • Ability to navigate uncharted areas and balance risk and opportunity.
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and training skills.
  • Excellent driver and project manager.
  • Experience providing legal support on a global scale.
