Position Overview

Role: Event Security Supervisor

Location: Brampton, ON

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: Friday to Sunday

Compensation: $21.42/hr.

Job Responsibilities

As a Supervisor, you will oversee uniformed security personnel at various high-profile corporate locations in Brampton. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that security personnel meet the required qualifications for their assigned roles.
  • Verifying that all security staff are properly licensed, trained, and attired in appropriate uniforms.
  • Coordinating and assessing site-specific training for contract security personnel.
  • Conducting random evaluations of security staff to ensure compliance with city standards.
  • Responding to significant incidents and ensuring that security personnel document their actions and observations accurately.
  • Reviewing incident reports for clarity and accuracy.
  • Implementing disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Providing daily updates to Security Services Management and relevant personnel.
  • Conducting patrols using electronic guard tour systems.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the city.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Security Guard in a municipal or corporate setting is preferred.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • A valid Security License for Ontario is required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification is mandatory.
  • A valid G Class License with a clean driving record is necessary.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Proficiency in using two-way radios and computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required; bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Flexibility in shift availability is crucial, as security operations run 24/7.
  • Prior experience in loss prevention or security is a plus.
  • Completion of all required site training within 30 days of hire is expected.
  • Successful completion of CPO certification within the first six months, with training costs covered by Paladin.
Certification Requirements
  • Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
  • Valid Ontario Security License
