- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and motivate a team of food preparation staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Train Staff in Sanitation and Safety Procedures: Ensure that all staff members are aware of and follow proper sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Plan and manage the ordering of ingredients and supplies to meet our menu requirements and minimize waste.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
- Ensure Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality and service in our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our menu planning and inventory management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
- Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
