Marketing Director

Thompson Rivers University is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Director to lead the development and implementation of integrated, institution-wide marketing strategies to enhance the university's brand and support its mission, goals, and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute data-driven marketing plans that align with the university's overall goals and priorities.
- Lead the Marketing Team: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of professionals in brand and identity, marketing strategy, creative services, and digital experience.
- Brand Alignment and Consistency: Foster brand alignment and consistency of marketing initiatives across faculties and departments, linking these initiatives to overarching university marketing goals.
- Market Research and Analysis: Use market research to inform the development of marketing strategies and plans, and develop and monitor metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of marketing strategies and activities.
- Financial and Human Resource Management: Plan, allocate, and hold accountability for human and financial resources, ensuring effective and efficient use of those resources.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other campus units on financial and human resource optimizations for pan-institutional marketing strategies, plans, campaigns, and initiatives, and communicate and continuously reinforce the university's brand and identity standards.
- Post-Secondary Degree: A post-secondary degree in business, marketing, marketing communications, advertising, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Marketing Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in the marketing field, with several years at a senior level and responsibility for a staff complement.
- Strategic Thinking and Execution: Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing strategic and integrated marketing strategies, including effective creation and execution of projects and campaigns aimed at multiple audiences.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization, with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-departmental teams and develop positive relationships and partnerships with diverse leaders and stakeholders towards the achievement of common, overarching goals.
