Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Inorganic Chemistry Specialist to join our team at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and coordinating laboratory sessions, as well as grading assignments and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with supervisor to discuss course materials and laboratory schedules
  • Prepare and deliver lectures on inorganic chemistry topics
  • Coordinate and supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring student safety and adherence to protocols
  • Grade laboratory assignments, data sheets, and formal lab reports
  • Communicate with students and provide feedback on their performance
Requirements
  • A strong background in inorganic chemistry, with a focus on molecular orbital theory, coordination chemistry, and structural methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues
  • Previous experience in teaching or laboratory coordination is highly desirable
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work on Tuesdays from 9 am to 4 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate laboratory schedules.

Please note that this is a part-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
