Aircraft Structures Technician

Opportunity at the National Research Council of Canada (CNRC)
We are seeking a proficient technician specializing in aircraft structures to become part of our dedicated team focused on structural integrity within the Aerospace Research Centre. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of testing operations, set up test configurations, perform inspections, and work closely with project managers and external stakeholders. If you possess significant expertise in aircraft structures, installation, and maintenance, we welcome your application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently
- Execute mechanical testing and gather data
- Operate hydraulic systems and machining tools
- Adhere to technical specifications and maintenance protocols
- Employ non-destructive testing methodologies
- Guarantee precise installation of aircraft components
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems
- Experience with CF-18 and/or CH-146 Griffon aircraft is advantageous
- Understanding of quality assurance techniques
- Capability to interpret mechanical schematics
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tools
Working Environment at CNRC:
